Trich CONSULT was created for the benefit of the beef cattle industry to enhance the control of Trich in beef cow-calf herds. Develop a Trich Control Strategy for Your Herd.(last updated 9/13/16) Trich CONSULT is designed to help beef cow-calf producers minimize the impact of Trich (Tritrichomonas foetus) on their herd, or keep Trich out of their herd if it is not currently infected. Please work closely with your veterinarian to develop the best Trich control strategy for your operation. The first question (or few questions) will help you determine if Trich is currently causing a problem in your herd. Below each question, you will see this icon: After you have determined if Trich is currently causing a problem in your herd, you will be asked several questions regarding management practices on your ranch. Answer each question according to what you are willing and able to do. For example, if you do not have a controlled breeding season but you are willing and able to start you should answer "Yes, I have a controlled breeding season". If you change your mind after answering a question, click on the "Go Back" link and you will be taken back to the previous question. You will have an opportunity to save/print a report after you have answered all of the questions. This report will include how you answered each question and the response that you were given.
